On the miniature livestock tip: Miniature Donkeys! Man, they look huge compared to that cow though.

Tiny cow or huge family? You decide. Minicows. <-- This link is now dead. Too bad.

Powers of Ten. Charles and Ray Eames.

To the left, a chair.

Song that is running my life right now: "Only in the Past" by the Be Good Tanyas. They are serving the MP3 off their own site, so I link to them, guilt free. Plus they are local (to me in Vancouver, Canada) so that rocks.

I dreamed that I saw you you were down at the corner store
You were looking through magazines and you flew out the door
I was trying to wave to you but you wouldn't wave back
Now you know I understand you're with me only in the past
Only in the past

Just finished reading Driving Mr. Albert: A Trip Across America with Einstein's Brain
by Michael Parterniti. My review: The book was basically a personal monologue by the author, who uses his road trip across the US with the pathologist who did the autopsy on Einstein (and absconded with the beloved scientist's brain), to explore his own feelings of loneliness and insecurity. I would have preferred a more rigourously referenced exploration of the path the brain has taken and the characters involved. Most of the facts seem anecdotal, and the Einstein quotes seem arbitrary and are unreferenced. But then, I've been gorging on science writing lately and I love endnotes. The fact is, this book was well written, but failed to be the book I wanted it to be.

Last night I went to Fresh Cut, a men's fashion show that was managed by the lovely Tanus Lewis. There were some beautiful clothes and the show was excellently put together. Everyone and their BFs/GFs looked out of this world, leaving me charmed but single.
