Sorry it's been so long! I have been having ADSL configuration problems. What's the difference between PPPoE and PPPoA? OK I know they're both PPP protocols but so what?

Anyway, enough of these thinly failed attempts to get free tech support (£1/minute for help calls? Whatever!)

I just got back from an absolutely great holiday home to Vancouver. They were having fantastic weather and Van was at its best. I would like to say I took tons of pictures and they all have funny captions but all I seem to have ended up with are shots of Angus and Gill's rowing regatta. :) Winners!

Along with great visits with the family, I got to enjoy all the things that I miss over here; like brunch, the beach, tons of sushi, and people with accents like mine! I took one of Kate's fantastic teacher-in-training yoga classes, which reminded me how exercise feels. Everyone should take her class! You will think it is all fun and good times and then the next day you will be sore as a minx and your abs will be like Arnie's. The best kind of exercise!

I want to send my love to everyone out there, especially the people that I didn't get to see in person. I am really missing you all and home now! Thanks for nothing! :)

Also super thanks to Gill and Will for putting me up and making me feel so at home in the old flat on Georgia Street. Also to Dad and Liz for letting me stay in the fancy B&B suite, to Mom for coming home from Africa on time, to Gus and Gill for hanging out with me so much, and to Johnny for coming all that way to visit. OK this is starting to sound like the liner notes on my next album, so moving on:

I also brought back a gas hibachi (another unavailable in Brum, along with eggs benedict), and I can't wait to introduce the wonderful world of balcony grilling to Stephenson Tower. Someone told be today that barbequing is "big in America but just catching on here" so I look forward to being on the vanguard, much like I was when I introduced jack-o-lanterns to Glasgow. Or as they call them, "jock-o-lanterns", arf arf arf. Hopefully I won't get the fire department up here with my flaming tofu.

My next project is to take some photos of the apartment over here, and once I get the bags unpacked and think of some funny captions, the good times will roll. Oh yeah.
