Radio 4 reported on how feelings of "fairness" drive people to make irrational decisions. Click here to read about it.

If there's one thing that drives me nuts, it's "fairness". (I love scare quotes, though!)

I once worked for a company where, after a merger, the employees insisted that no one should get a bonus, after they found out that their new coworkers would get a larger one.

I bought a SIS Generation 4 Mobile Ergonomic Desk. Used Danish design is good Danish design!

Half the fun was bidding, over the web, which involved rapid clicking of a big yellow screaming "Bid Now!" button. I bid on an LCD projector I wanted, too...�10,000 new and it looked like I was winning at �500, but then I got beat by �25 just before the hammer. Which is great because where the heck am I going to get �500?!?! I got a bit carried away. :)
