Otters holding hands
I had a terrible night last night: the cash point stole my bank card, my phone stopped working, and I had to take the poopie night bus.
But there otters have made me happy again. :)

I still think that a little appearance on TV once and a while is good stuff.
I spent Tuesday morning being filmed for our garden makeover. The concept was for a little cut-scene showing me doing something Flora-esque. As my rowboat is in the shop, and being loud and funny isn't really that visual, I got filmed from ten different angles typing on the laptop.
Now, I know I am a big computer nerd compared to normal people, but I didn't grow up as one (Angus is the computer nerd!) and I've always been surrounded by programmers professionally. In this ecosystem, I have been the not-so nerdy -- dare I say 'cool' -- one.
But in my current company and social gang, programmers are the exception rather than the rule, and I've slid way over to the far end of the nerd bell curve.
It's annoying that the most filmable aspect to my personality is typing on a laptop. I would like to say that I was being filmed being a 'writer', rather than a 'computer nerd' -- maybe I'll ask for a little overlay saying "Flora - writer supremo."
Lately I've been suffering with back pain, and I can't seem to sit in a chair for longer than about 10 minutes without seizing up. I'd rather be running a marathon than sitting down relaxing, at the moment.
I'm not convinced that chairs are such a great invention, but somehow reclining on pillows doesn't seem quite professional.
Perhaps working on a small treadmill with a keyboard? It would help with the desk-ass too.
